Bob Mackie worked with my Mother at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles back in the late 50’s early 60’s in the mail room. He went on to be the fashion designer for The Carol Burnett Show and Cher, and creating his own line for the public found at Saks Fifth Avenue and other fine stores.

Strobist Info: 580EX-II in a yellowish lamp shade behind the designer at 1/8, right left to the dress form (so, camera left) a 580ex-II (without gel) at 1/2 into an shoot through umbrella and a Elinchrom 1200S at very low power (about 80Ws) shooting into the room with a golden reflector to give the idea of tungsten lit room. Additionaly a golden reflector (Sunbounce) just out of frame to the right side to add some shades of light (picture is quite a lot edited).
Idea was to get a warm and comfortable feeling. (well on a b/w picture that all is nonsense, yet it may not hurt to know the intents 🙂 )
